Description

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:

Assists the Director of Quality in the maintenance of all Quality procedures. Makes dimensional layouts and does roving inspection of production during his/her shift.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures that processes needed for the Quality Management System established and maintained.
Report to the Director of Quality on the performance of the Quality Management System and any need for improvement.
Make dimensional layout and annual validations as per requirements of the customers.
Assist the Director of Quality to prepare PPAP for customers.
Do MSA study on the measuring equipment.
Ensures the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the company.
Has the authority to order the stoppage of work which is not in compliance with quality procedures and written work instructions.
Continual monitoring for customer satisfaction and continual improvement.
To represent the company in resolving quality issues and concerns with company suppliers and customers should the Director of Quality not be available.
To ensure that quality related deficiencies are properly documented, investigated and corrected.
To ensure that manufactured products are properly documented and traceable. Providing technical support and training schedules where required.
Prepares and trains employees in the use of existing and new equipment or production techniques.
Other duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
post-secondary education or Technical Diploma in mechanical, industrial, or related field.
Thorough knowledge of ISO Quality System requirements as well as the company Quality Program.
Knowledge of measuring instruments, their use, precision and proper technique to provide accurate and repeatable results. Knowledgeable in statistical process control. Good knowledge of personal computers and associated software. Basic understanding of plastic behavior.
Or equivalent experience as judged by the hiring manager to their satisfaction.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 3 years related work experience with the educational equivalent training and Quality Inspection knowledge and experience. Drawing interpretation to create an inspection Plan.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to be registered with Canada’s Controlled Goods Program. This involves a criminal background check conducted by an authorized third party.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT

Precikam's working language is french however an extensive knowledge of English is required in the role due to the need to be able to follow instructions and reply to (written and or verbal) our North American customers' quality departments and external auditors.
